Les Schwab Amphitheater’s website has three new shows listed this morning. Tickets go on sale Friday (via the site and The Ticket Mill in the Old Mill District), though there is usually some kind of presale the day before, so watch the amphitheater’s Facebook and Twitter for a password, if there is one.

Click the band names for more on the bands, and the prices for more on the shows:

August 7
The Outlaw Roadshow, with Counting Crows and guests (according to the Crows’ website, Bend’s guests will be We Are Augustines, Kasey Anderson and The Honkies and Field Report)

Aug. 24
ZZ Top
$42 (general admission) and $79 (reserved seating) plus fees

Brandi Carlile is amazing live! I’m so psyched for her new CD and I love her video for Hard Way Home. Definitely worth checking out…http://www.vevo.com/watch/brandi-carlile/hard-way-home/USSM21200691

Hmm, weird, I’ve been hoping Kasey Anderson & The Honkies would show up in town. Don’t care so much for the Counting Crows, doubt I’ll hit that show. Ben, they did a 7 inch giveaway freebie I snagged from Ranch a while ago, called Some Depression a while ago, that I think, a guy of your mind would get a kick out of if you haven’t already. Really cool song, and if you’re wondering if it’s a playful slap at at the no depression / alt country crowd, then yep, it is.

Ooh, Some Depression – I like it. Will definitely seek that out, Scott. Thanks.

Did you know Kasey was here a couple years ago, opening for Steve Earle solo? I saw him and thought he was great. Excited to see the Honkies this time.

Also, I don’t know if you’re on Twitter but he’s like a Twitter star. Super-frequent tweeter and often hilarious. (Also, if you are on Twitter, what’s your handle?)

Aw, no kidding? I wanted to go to the Steve Earle thing but for whatever reason missed it.

Nope, not on the twitter. No reason, not against it, I like having a steady flow of information, just never got around to signing up.
